Celia Sings/Celia Chante with pianist David Harrod.  Programme of popular songs mainly from ‘30s & ‘40s to celebrate our multi-cultural heritage in Lambeth Riverside.  Nick Rixen Trio play modern jazz with latin influence.  Their performance will include jazz/latin standards and Nick Rixen’s own compositions.

HIGHLANDS & ISLANDS Concert

Award winning Jewish composer and performer Rohan Kriwaczek team up with renowned Scottish violinist and singer Jason Dickinson to perform a semi-improvised programme inspired by their mutual longing for the Highlands and Islands. CHUTNEY MARY by Michael Baldwin.  A play reading.

Chutney Mary explores the Anglo-Indian experience in Calcutta, India during the second world war.  A young English soldier is invited to a birthday party and stays the night.  Next day nothing will be the same again for any of them again.

After the performance, audience discussion with the actors.

Michael Baldwin was born in India and came to England when he was 14.  He has had a long career as a costume designer in films, television and theatre and has had seven plays produced around the fringe in London.

The farm will be holding an Open Day on July 10th.  There will be all sorts of things going on for people to come and enjoy: pond dipping in the ecology garden, duck racing, a barbeque, spinning demonstrations - children will be able to take part in the spinning the longest thread challenge.
